Sarah Brookman -Instructor and Coach
Sarah Brookman is a lifelong athlete who competes professionally in rugby and powerlifting at a high level. With a background in neuroscience and specialized research in women’s hormones, she brings a rare combination of scientific expertise and elite athletic experience to her work. She is highly focused on helping women build measurable strength, improve body composition, and maintain muscle mass, bone density, and long-term performance through every stage of hormonal change.
Sarah began developing her coaching foundation while playing rugby at the University of Florida, where she gained hands-on experience with athletic performance, injury prevention, and evidence-based rehabilitation. She went on to complete graduate studies at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where her research examined hormonal changes during menopause and their impact on health and performance. This work solidified her expertise and led her to focus her career on helping women train with confidence, clarity, and purpose.
After moving to Boulder in 2025, Sarah immersed herself in the powerlifting community, began training under Brenna and quickly becoming part of the team at Koa Fit. She is passionate about coaching women to get stronger, move better, and take up space with confidence; delivering results that carry over far beyond the gym.
Outside of training and coaching, Sarah can be found chasing first chair on powder days, spending time with her fiancée Maddy and their two cats, or playing rugby with her best friends.
